What to Bring on Your Service Trip

Are you unsure what to bring with you on your service trip to New Orleans?  This RHINO checklist is here to help!  Whether you are an adult group, college alternative break group, or on a youth mission trip, here is a guide to help!

Suggested Personal Items:

□ Prescription and over-the-counter drugs

□ Contacts/ eyeglasses (spares)

□ Special First-Aid needs (we have a generic kit!)

□ Appropriate health and personal records

□ Toiletries

□ Sunscreen

□ Insect-repellent and itch-relief cream

□ Sleep Accessories (snore strips, ear plugs, sleep masks)

□ Swimsuit (if you are staying with us)

□ Cash for meals and snacks

□ Coins and laundry detergents should you use the washer and dryer (if you’re staying with us)

□ Clothes for evenings and free time

□ Sleep clothes

□ A desire to rebuild hope and have fun in New Orleans!

 

Work-Related Items:

□ Refillable water bottle

□ Work boots with hard soles (recommended) or old tennis shoes

□ Long pants (recommended)

□ Protective eyewear (most glasses or sunglasses should do!)

□ Work gloves

□ Clothes that can get dirty or painted for work

□ Hat/visor/bandanna
